If you look around the shop, you won't find coatdresses, fascinators, or anything with lace sleeves. But you can find some accessories that are worthy of a certain joyous ceremony that took place across the pond today. We have a deep appreciation for all things vintage, and have cobbled together a small collection of delicate beaded purses from the 1930s and shoes from the 1940s. Don't you think they're ready for an appearance with the Queen?

Join us this Sunday, May 1st from 12-5p
Local artist Katharine Watson will be joining us on May 1st from noon to 5 p.m. Not only will you be able to shop from her collection of printed paper goods-you'll also be able to meet Katharine and watch her artistic process. She'll be demonstrating hand block printing right here in the store!
All of Katharine's paper products are hand block printed with original designs that she has carved. She is inspired by nature, architecture, and traditional textiles. And we think her art will inspire you!
And just a hint-we think moms, aunts, nanas, and other special ladies would love some hand-printed stationary this Mother's Day.

Hope you had a nice Easter break! We took advantage of a closed shop for the day! It was great watching the kiddos collect eggs and enjoying a leisurely brunch with friends in the fantastic weather. We rounded out the day with a fun Easter dinner with Joe's parents where the kids were so well behaved. Especially our son all decked out in his shirt & tie. He was so quiet. He really stuck to the "kids should be seen and not heard" standard. I was very impressed until I realized he could also not be seen.
It was a quick search because I found him in the upstairs hallway being as quiet as a mouse. Why was he not talking? Because his mouth was FULL of chocolate & candy. He was sitting in a rainbow colored-nest of his opened plastic eggs. All cracked open & empty. The goods were polished off in one sitting. Suffice to say the "kids should be seen and not heard" rule only lasted until the sugar hit his bloodstream.
[There are a few more woodland creatures for sale on our Etsy site.]
